About Chris

I’m a versatile creative person that loves the potential opportunity in everything. I used to confine myself to the boxes I’ve been put in, and admittedly got too comfortable staying in them. A copywriter who specializes in comedy until I became a creative director who specializes in comedy. I really just have a passion for creativity and storytelling, and love the insane challenge of somehow connecting to an audience through a sea of noise. From a 30 second TV spot to a brand action stunt to a social post, you are still telling a story of some kind. If you hook someone subconsciously, you have a chance. Maybe I’m naïve, but I think the ever-changing landscape will make human creativity even more vital in advertising. We need stories. We need memes. We need connection. Reasons to believe.

I also love making music, which shows up in some of my work. And I think it strangely helps me in how I write. How you say something is way more important than the words IMO, and I think rhythm is so valuable when you have such a quick window to make someone feel something. I’m also very visual and love stories without words.

I thought sharing a little of my philosophy and optimism would make a more interesting Bio than embellishing the bullet points of my resume. Which I can sum up in one sentence to save you time. Over the last 15 years I’ve work for Omelet, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Deutsch LA, and have won some awards along the way.
