TACO reBELLion

We made an anthem to rebel against “Taco Tuesday” as a joke. An imaginary enemy that turned out to be real to everyone’s surprise. Right before shooting we got the news that we couldn’t legally say “Taco Tuesday” because the phrase was owned by Taco Johns. How do you own “Taco Tuesday?” It seemed so wrong. So we literally had to dance around saying “Taco Tuesday” in this spot below.

But the seeds of a real rebellion were planted. On accident. Because years later Taco Bell took it the courts to free the phrase for anyone to use. Poetic justice. Take that Taco Johns!

The Taco Anarchy continued. I wrote this song for Taco Bell party packs that kind of goes hard. I know that sounds like bragging, but this is a portfolio site.

In the spirit of Taco angst, this test market spot for the Forbidden Melt Taco delves into the destructive world of taco envy. The product never made it to market, so the world missed out on maybe my favorite Taco Bell spot I made.
